Getting around

Scroll bar. Slide your thumb along the letters to travel. Pull your thumb off the bar, away from the edge, to open two-letter stops, and further for three. Prefer resting instead of pulling? Choose Hold in Settings.

Open a word. Tap it. Tap again to close.

* Tap for a random word. Hold for Settings.

Your route. Hold the Dynamic Island to see the words you've opened, and tap one to go back.

The clock. Tap the little clock at the top right.

Settings

Hold * to change the scroll behaviour, which side the bar sits on, text size, what the app opens on, and the app icon.

About the words

Definitions and origins come from Wiktionary (via kaikki.org) under CC BY-SA 4.0; the word list also draws on Open English WordNet and wordfreq. Spotted a wrong or missing word? Email us — and if it's wrong in Wiktionary, you can fix it there for everyone.
